Image of Anurima Chanda

Dr. Anurima Chanda is an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Birsa Munda College, University of North Bengal. She has completed her PhD on Indian English Children’s Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She was a Charles Wallace Visiting Fellow (2024-25) at the University of Edinburgh, a SUSI-2023 Fellow at the University of Montana, and a pre-doctoral DAAD fellow at the University of Würzburg in 2016. She is one of the founding members of ACLiSA (Association for Children's Literature in South Asia) which works towards promoting scholarship on South Asian kidlit. A literary translator and children’s author, her notable works include A Chandalini Speaks (Orient BlackSwan), How I Became a Writer (Stree Samya and Sage), and Women of India (DK Publishing).
